We lend educational resources in French to teachers via the Grand Prairie Municipal Library.

Links with the curriculum

We lend educational resources for all grades and all programs of French immersion, FSL and Francophone schools to teachers everywhere in the province in order to help them reach the objectives of the program of study.

We also offer opportunities for professional development. These opportunities are available in the north-wester part of the province, but teachers from across the province are welcome.

Exclusively for the north west of the province, we offer an individual exchange program to France for students of schools registered in our partnership program. Also exclusively for the North West region, we provide the DELF Examination for students of schools registered in our partnership program.

Description

The Centre offers an up-to-date collection of all the resources recommended by Alberta Education for teaching FSL, as well as resources for immersion programs and Francophone schools. This collection consists of over 15,000 titles including kits, DVDs, book series for classes, games and much more. All of these resources are available to borrow under the French Teacher Resource Section of the Grande Prairie public library.
